Who created ICP?
The Internet Computer project started in 2016 when developer Dominic Williams had the vision for an unbounded blockchain unrestricted by our current hosting frameworks. The DFINITY Foundation was formed to begin building the team needed to develop the Internet Computer. During the research launch of the Internet Computer in May of 2021, the DFINITY Foundation acquired nearly 200 patents on the technology.
